Kim Tae Yeon (김태연) or her stage name Taeyeon (태연) is Leader of South Korean girl group Girls' Generation or SNSD. Kim Taeyeon named same meaning with 'The Great Beauty'. Taeyeon joined at SM Entertainment after she won auditioned at the 2004 SM Entertainment's 8th Annual Best Contest winning Best Singer 1st Place & Grand Award in the contest. Before debuted with Girls' Generation, she was featured in The One's song "You Bring Me Joy". Taeyeon's talents came from her parents. Taeyeon's father was a vocalist in a band while her mother had won children's competition when she was young. Taeyeon's parents are very supportive their children's career. They let their children decide for themselves. Now, Taeyeon's parents have eyeglass stores.
In 2007, Taeyeon put into group Girls' Generation or SNSD. In July 2007 Girls' Generation had their unofficial first stage performance with their single 'Into the New World' on Mnet School of Rock. On August 5, 2007 Girls’ Generation had their official debut stage on SBS Inkigayo with their single debut 'Into the New World'. Taeyeon often regarded as a maknae in Girls' Generation because of her small bodies and Taeyeon's behavior like a maknae but besides that, Taeyeon is very independent, learn to take care of things themselves, and very concerned about another member. Her brother once said when Taeyeon was in middle school she was already an ahjumma.
On May 7, 2010, Taeyeon had her musical debut as the main female role in "Midnight Sun". Taeyeon and her band mate Seohyun were cast as voice actors for the Korean dubbing of the 3D animation Despicable Me. On January 7, 2009 she was featured on variety show We Got Married as part of the third rotation of couples, she was featured with comedian Jeong Hyeong-don. When this news was announced , it caused an uproar among South Korean netizens due to the 11-year age difference between the two. Taeyeon became a DJ on MBC Radio's Good Friend Radio with Super Junior Kangin until he left on April 19, 2009 and with DJ Taengoo until she left on April 26, 2010. On February 2nd, 2010, Taeyeon become officially the sub MC in Kim Seung Woo's talk show KBS Win Win with 2PM Wooyoung. In 2012, Taeyeon get into Girls' Generation sub group, Girls' Generation-TTS along with Tiffany and Seohyun. On May 2nd, 2012 their released first mini album 'Twinkle'.
