Jung Min Joo (정민주) or her stage name JOO (주) is Korean Singer under JYP Entertainment, the same agency with Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2PM, Miss A, and San E. JOO was born in Seoul, South Korea on October 11, 1990. Previously, JOO once lived in Indonesia, she had spent his childhood in Indonesia because of JOO father's worked in Indonesia before. JOO had younger brother BTOB Jung Il Hoon. 

JOO was one of the participants audition in the show JYP Superstar Survival including her future label mates 2PM Lee Junho, Taecyeon and Hwang Chansung where Junho was the winner. Although she didn't make it, she got accepted to be a trainee at JYP Entertainment. Besides a small face and a baby, JOO has a strong voice and a rich and emotional interpretation of the songs. On January 10, 2008 JOO debuted become a solo singer with her single debut Young Girl. On January 11, 2008 JOO debut stage on KBS Music Bank. On January 3, 2011 JOO comeback with her mini album 'Heartmade' and single 'Bad Guy' where 2PM Chansung was featured alongside. 

On January 7, 2011 JOO made her comeback stage on KBS Music Bank. On May 16, 2011, JOO and Super Junior's Leeteuk released 'Ice Cream' music video for their single 'Ice Cream'. In 2011, JOO played role Ah Jung in KBS2 television drama with her label mate 2PM Wooyoung, Taecyeon, and Miss A Suzy. JOO also released her OST for KBS's Dream High, titled 'Dream High' with 2PM Wooyoung, Taecyeon, Miss A Suzy, and Korean Singer Kim Soo Hyun. From November 12, 2011 to January 29, 2012 JOO was cast as the leading actress in a musical drama 'Youthful March’ as Young Shim.
