Kang Min Hyuk (강민혁) or people known as Minhyuk (민혁) is drummer and vocalist of South Korean rock band CN Blue. Minhyuk is the second youngest member in CN Blue. Beside drummer and singer Minhyuk was an actor, lyricist, MC, and model. Minhyuk was born in
Ilsan, Seoul, South Korea on June 28, 1991. In 2007, Minhyuk joined at FNC Music Entertainment after he won FNC Music audition and was accepted around the same time as Jung Yonghwa and Lee Jong Hyun and then he began training in bass technology at FNC Academy.
Minhyuk have learned the drums since he was a child. Minhyuk's playing drum talent was down from his father. His father was a teacher playing the drums. He also knows how to play the flute and piano that he is still practicing. Minhyuk had individualism personality. He prefers to be alone, reading alone, listening to music alone, and do it all alone. CN Blue members often say that he actually Minhyuk that whiny but in fact he only little sentimental and have a soft heart.
In 2009, Minhyuk also left for Japan to study music with his bandmates in CN Blue. In June 2009 while staying there, they did street performances and released indie albums. On August 19, 2009 Minhyuk made his debut with his band CN Blue in Japan with their mini album 'Now or Never' and before they issued their debut in Korea, they released 2nd mini album 'Voice' on November 25, 2009 recorded with both English and Japanese tracks. On January 14, 2010 they debuted in South Korea with their mini album 'Bluetory' with their famous single ' I Am A Loner' under FNC Entertainment.
In 2009, Minhyuk never compete with Yonghwa to get a role in drama 'You're Beautiful' but Yonghwa who got the a role. In 2010, Minhyuk participated in writing the lyrics for the song 'Sweet Holiday' from CN Blue's mini album 'Bluelove'. In October 2010, Minhyuk debuted as an actor through movie 'Acoustic' as Kim Hae Won together with his band mate Lee Jong Hyun. On November 2010, Minhyuk return to acting in television drama 'It's Okay, Daddy's Girl' as Hwang Yeon Doo. In 2010, Minhyuk with another CN Blue's members had participated in MBC We Got Married Jung Yonghwa and Girls' Generation Seohyun. Minhyuk showed off his singing skill for the first time with the release of the song "Star" (별) on July 6, 2011 as part of Heartstrings OST, an MBC drama in which he and his band mate Jung Yonghwa casted. In Heartstrings Minhyuk played role as Yeo Joon Hee. In 2012, Minhyuk was cast in drama 'My Husband Got a Family' as Se Kwang.
