Jang Geun Seok (장근석) is South Korean actor, singer, and model. He was born in Danyang County, Chungcheongbuk Province, South Korea on August 4, 1987. He had attended Seoul DongYi Primary school on February 2000, KwangJang middle school on February 2003, New Zealand Nelson College enrollment on January 2003, Bangsan High School First year joins in the middle of course on July 2003, and Hanyang University Enrollment - Drama (major in Movie) on February 2006.
Jang Geun Seok first debuted as child model in Kindergarten catalog model when he is 5 years old. He was discovered by a talent agent. Geun Seok's parents were selling their house and the agent, who was a prospective buyer, saw Geun Seok. When he saw young Jang Geun Seok at the house, he advised his parents that Geun seok should work as model. In 1997, Jang Geun Seok debuted as an actor through HBS sitcom 'Selling Happiness'. In middle school, he'd heard the work of some Japanese bands L'Arc-en-Ciel and he was inspired start learning the Japanese language. In junior high school, Geun Seok went to school in New Zealand to learn English and Japanese because of this, he can speak in both Japanese and English language. After comeback to Korea, Geun Seok was offered played in MBC sitcom 'Nonstop 4'. He felt that his acting is not so good. Therefore, he finally decided to re-dedicate itself to be an actor.
In 2005, Geun Seok playing in SBS television drama 'Lovers in Prague' as Yoon Gun Hee. In 2006, Geun Seok played in Japanese horror movie 'One Missed Call Final' using his ability in Japanese language Geun Seok was able to communicate with his Japanese co-stars with no problems. He also learned sign language for the prior three months in preparation for his role as a deaf boy in "One Missed Call Final". In the same year Jang Geun Seok is also playing in KBS2 television drama Hwang Jin-i role as Kim Eun Ho make giant attention from female fans. From 25 February to 7 October 2007 Geun Seok become co-MC with Super Junior Heechul on SBS's weekly live music show Inkigayo.

'Let Me Cry' debuted at number 1 on Japan's Oricon single charts. On January 18, 2012, Oricon reported that Jang Geun Seok will release a new album Lounge H. This album to be released on March 21 and only available in Japan. Jang Geun Seok's new Japanese album will have seven tracks of rock and electronic genre, including "Gotta Getcha.". The end of May 2012, Jang Geun Seok released another Japanese album, now titled Just Crazy. It is his official debut full-length album and it made history on the Oricon charts. Jang Geun Seok is the first male international solo artist ever to reach the top of both the Oricon daily and weekly charts.
In 2012, Jang Geun Seok was cast in a lead role as Seo In Ha & Seo Joon with Girls Generation Yoona in the television drama entitled Love Rain. The drama will begin broadcast in March 26, 2012 on KBS2.
