T-ARA is South Korean Girlband. T-ara debuted as a 5 member, Eunjung, Jiyeon, Jiae, Jiwon, and Hyomin that trained for 3 years with the Core Contents Media label. Their debuted with their single 'Joheun Saram Ver. 1 / 좋은 사람 (Good Person)' for the soundtrack of the television drama Cinderella Man. After Jiae and Jiwon withdrew from the group in June 2009 citing differences in style, in July T-ara debuted as a six member group with the addition of Boram, Qri, and Soyeon with their debut studio album Absolute First Album was released in December 2009. Core Contents Media stated the album would have a different style from their debut. One year later in July 16, 2010, it was announced that a new member joined the group, Hwa Young, making T-ara become 7 members.
In early 2009, Jiyeon was in a collaboration with SeeYa and Davichi for a song called “Women’s Generation”. Jiyeon involvement sparked a great interest in the public, which led to Jiyeon name becoming one of the top searched phrases in South Korea. On September 14, 2009 a few members of T-ara Eunjung, Soyeon, Hyomin and Jiyeon were in a project group with label mates Supernova, a six member male group for the digital single for the song 'TTL (Time to Love)'.
In January, 2010 Core Contents Media announced that Eunjung and Hyomin would take part, alongside label mates, in project group, ‘Women’s Generation’. In February, the group announce the release of a repackaged version of their debut album, entitled Breaking Heart.
On December 3rd 2010, T-ara held their first comeback stage and began promotions with their new 7th member named Ryu Hwa Young. The new member, Hwa Young, has a twin sister, Hyo Young, who was first scouted to be a member of T-ara but was placed in the mixed group Coed School. T-ara also stated that Boram would replace Eunjung for the position of leader.
T-ara was announced for their comeback on July 1, 2011 with the song "Roly-Poly" and their also announced would be advancing into the Japanese market with a showcase on July 5. Core Contents Media announced that Hyo Min would be taking over the leadership for the album and their Japanese promotions on June 14, 2011. On September 28 T-ara released their debut Japanese single "Bo Peep Bo Peep". T-ara released their second Japanese single, a remake of "Yayaya" from their Temptastic mini-album, on November 30. On June 19, 2011 T-ara to released their first Japanese album 'Jewelry Box' before their first Japanese concert tour T-ara Japan Live Tour starts in Nagoya.
On April 5, 2012 T-ara agency announced that two members who were previously trainees under the label will be added to T-ara's line-up in July, transforming T-ara into a nine member group. On April 6, Core Contents Media reported through a press release that any prideful members would be removed as well, showing a possibility for not only an addition of two new members but a exchange of old members as well. On 23rd May T-ara will be adding one new member, who is presently 18 years old for their comeback in July. The second member, Dani, will make her debut through the music video in their July comeback and officially added into T-ara's line-up before the end of 2012.
