Lee Sungmin (이성민) or his stage name Sungmin (성민) is member of South Korean boyband Super Junior. Sungmin lived with father, mother, and one younger man named Lee Sungjin. Sungmin is the second richest member after his bandmate Siwon. His father is the owner of the company Sendbill. Sungmin had made a song for his father's advertising company, and he sang along with his band mate Kyuhyun and Ryeowook. Meanwhile, for his advertisement company he took Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong and Yesung to appear. In 2001, Sungmin jointly won the Best Outward Appearance award with future band mate Donghae on the company's third annual SM Youth Best Contest and then he signed a contract with SM Entertainment.
In 2002 Sungmin, Eunhyuk and JYJ Junsu were placed in a project R&B group. A year later, the group along with three future members from TRAX (Jay Kim, No Minwoo, Kang Jungwoo) chosen to be make a brief appearance on the show called Heejun vs. Kangta, Battle of the Century: Pop vs. Rock in which Moon Hee Joon and Kangta individually taught them techniques on different types of singing. Unfortunately the trio disbanded and then Junsu debuted as a member of TVXQ in 2003 under the stage. Sungmin and Eunhyuk were then placed in another project group with ten other male trainees, Super Junior. On November 6, 2005, he debuted as an official member of Super Junior with their single debut 'TWINS (Knock Out)' on SBS's music program Popular Songs. In 2005 before debuted with Super Junior, Sungmin have been first played in the MBC television drama Sisters of the Sea as young Kang Dong-shin.
In February 2007, Sungmin get into Super Junior subgroup. He goes into Super Junior-T together with Leeteuk, Heechul, Kangin, Shindong, and Eunhyuk. A year later, Sungmin became a member of Super Junior Happy together with Leeteuk, Kangin, Shindong, Eunhyuk, and Yesung. From June 2007 to July 2008, he replaced band mate Kangin as one of the DJs at Reckless Radio, with Girls' Generation members. On October 15, 2010 Sungmin was one of 20 South Korean singers who recorded the theme song, "Let's Go", for the 2010 G-20 Seoul summit with his label mates Girls Generation Seohyun, SHINee Jonghyun and f(x) Luna.
In 2011 Sungmin and Eunhyuk become two additional members from Super Junior for Super Junior-M. In 2011, Eunhyuk with varios Super Junior's member Donghae, Kyuhyun, and Sungmin has also participated as part of Fighting Junior supporting Leeteuk and on-screen wife Korean Actress Kang Sora in the show MBC 'We Got Married Leeteuk & Kang Sora'. In 2012, Sungmin took part in We Got Married's spin-off program with Sistar's Hyorin called "Pit-a-Pat Shake" to air as a Lunar Year special. Sungmin with his band mate Ryeowook, took over Super Junior's Kiss the Radio, when former DJs Leeteuk and Eunhyuk left due to their busy schedules.
