SUPER JUNIOR-M PROFILE
Super Junior Mandarin or Super Junior-M is the third official subgroup South Korean boyband Super Junior. The "M" can also represent a list of other aspects, such as the first letter of their debut album Me, and also "mi", the pinyin for charismatic and fan, the latter meaning referring to their desire to connect closer with fans. This subgroup is made to promote Chinese music or what we call Mandopop or C-pop.
Super Junior-M member are consisting Donghae, Siwon, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Hang Geng and two non Super Junior members Henry and Zhou Mi. Hang Geng become leader in Super Junior-M. But after Han Geng filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, Super Junior-M temporarily stopped all activities. In December 2010 it was announced that Han Geng won the lawsuit, leaving the group and SM Entertainment. After Han Geng officially left the group, Zhou Mi become Super Junior-M leader, replace Hang Geng. In 2011 Super Junior-M comeback with two additional members from Super Junior, Sungmin and Eunhyuk joined the group.
On April 8, 2008 Super Junior-M debuted in Beijing at the 8th Annual Music Chart Awards. On April 23, 2008 Super Junior-M released their debut album 'Me' in selected provinces of China. On April 30, 2008 they released Korean version of the album with three bonus Korean language tracks and on May 2, 2008 they released modified version of the album was released in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan.
In September 23, 2009 Super Junior-M released their mini album, the'EP Super Girl. Their single 'Super Girl' has made the popularity of Super Junior-M growing up. In February 2011 Super Junior-M comeback with their mini album 'EP Perfection'. On February 25, Perfection was first released in Taiwan.
